Saxophone player / Songwriter
from Kyoto, Japan
living Melbourne, Australia
I am a Japanese saxophone player and songwriter. I have been a full time musician for the last 10 years.
I have loved music since I was a little child. When I was 12 years old, I discovered the saxophone and decided to devote my life to this beautiful instrument.
I also love to travel. I love to meet people and musicians around the world who have a different culture, language and style of music. I really enjoy playing music with them because through their music I can get a lot of new ideas, find a new sense in music and explore the color of music. I performed in Toulouse, France (2010), New Orleans, USA (2012, 2016), Singapore (2014, 2015), Melbourne, Australia (2015, 2019), Seoul, South Korea (2016) and Havana, Cuba (2016).
I studied contemporary music performance at Koyo conservatory in Kobe, Japan from 2007 to 2009. After graduation, I had the opportunity to play professionally with some bands such as Natural Killers (funky jazz rock), Coco Funk Orchestra (funk), Saxophone Labo (jazz saxophone ensemble), 46s Orchestra N.U.E (Electro + Acoustic Music + Dance) and more. I have performed at more than 500 events over the last 10 years. I also have done several recording sessions with the band above.
I also worked as a live music entertainer at Universal Studios Japan from 2012 to 2014.
I started studying a course in music production at Melbourne Polytechnic in Australia in 2019 to improve my music skills and creativity. With this I am building the way to express myself through music to share my experiences and feelings with people all over the world.
